Will it damage my ring?
Solid gold, silver and stainless steel are fine. Avoid pearls, opals, emeralds and anything porous or glued — movement can loosen a setting that was already weak, and that is true of an ultrasonic bath at a jeweller too. If the piece matters, ask your jeweller before the first cycle.
Do I need a special solution?
No. Plain tap water is what it is designed for, and it is what we use. One drop of dish soap helps the first time on something that has never been cleaned properly — after that, water on its own.
Can I clean my glasses with the lenses in?
Yes, coated lenses included. Take them out at the end of the cycle, rinse, and dry with a clean cloth. Most of what comes off is around the nose pads and the hinges — the two places a shirt has never touched.
Battery or plug-in?
Battery if you want to move it around or take it with you — 2 AAA, not included. Plug-in if it is going to live on one counter and you would rather never think about batteries. Same machine otherwise.

What to expect, and when
The first cycle. This is the one that surprises people. Run it a second time on anything you have worn every day for years — the first pass rarely gets all of it.
Every cycle after that. The water stays much clearer. That is not the machine working less — it is how you know the first one worked.
Once a month. On anything you wear daily, that is plenty. There is nothing to replace, nothing to refill, no solution to buy. Tap water, three to five minutes.
What will never change. A scratch stays a scratch. A finish worn down over the years stays worn. A stone that has come loose stays loose. What comes off is what was sitting in the gaps — not the years.
Why a polishing cloth never worked
A cloth moves across the surface. The build-up isn't on the surface — it's under the claws, between the links, behind the stone, in the nose pads. Water reaches all of it at once because liquid goes everywhere you can't.
How to use it — five steps
1 Fill the tank with plain tap water.
2 Drop in the piece — ring, chain, glasses, watch band.
3 Close the lid and press start.
4 Wait 3–5 minutes. It stops on its own.
5 Take it out and dry it with any soft cloth. Look at the water.
